Yatango Mobile.
Tech start up Yatango required a responsive website and native app to showcase new products and allow customers to take control of their data usage.
Brief.
Yatango, an exciting new tech start up, was set to launch an array of products in different markets. Including telecommunications with Yatango Mobile, ecommerce with Yatango Shopping, and finance with Yatango Money.
Appealing to tech savvy digitally aware professionals, Yatango Mobile offered a combination of ‘quality and better value’, allowing customers to be ‘in control’. Whether this be though the ability to change mobile data usage each month, or to keep track of upcoming bill payments.
Yatango Mobile required a responsive brochure website to showcase their new brand, products and mobile pricing. As well as a native app to allow customers to monitor and control their mobile and data usage.
Design.
The existing logo mark was refined and extended in to a complete brand vision and strategy. Appealing to young tech savvy professionals, brand imagery chosen was confident and playful, with a sense of energy. Mobile devices and technology were always present within a social setting of ‘real’ everyday scenarios.
In contrast, information was presented with clean crisp typography and considered use of white space. This balance of vibrant energy and modernity appealed directly to younger generations, yet focused their attention on the data, empowering them to be in control.
This design and brand approach was then applied to all digital assets including the responsive website and native app.
Results.
Following the launch of the updated brand and new website, Yatango Mobile saw an increase in their customer base, as well as making a number of acquisitions of smaller telcos. The new native app received positive feedback, the clarity it gave customers made them feel in control and empowered.
